In his latest blog post, Peter Cranie, lead candidate for the Greens in the North West, has condemned the BNP's attempts to use Christian messages in adverts in the North West.
The adverts come after the Church of England passed a resolution at its General Synod last month banning clergy from being members of the party.
In his blog, Peter says:
"This is an insult to the teachings of Jesus, whether you are religious or not. All men are brothers, not just those with a white skin.
"If the BNP can't see that simple fact, or recognise that international religions have worshippers of all nationalities and heritage, then it is entirely possible their poll ratings will run backwards in this campaign if this is the best they can do. "
